LOVE…Welcome to Emmanuel United Church of Christ

Jesus said: “By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Genuine selfless love is the fruit of God’s working in our lives. It is the evidence of His presence in our midst.

The Apostle Paul expressed it this way; and I would encourage our church family here to take these 10 Exhortations to heart.

…let love be sincere
…hate what is evil
…cling to what is good
…be devoted to one another in brotherly love
…honor one another above yourselves
…never be lagging in zeal (Spiritual energy)
…Be aglow with the Spirit!
…Be joyful in Hope, Patient in affliction
…Faithful in prayer
…Share with God’s people in need; practice hospitality

This short passage continues with additional instruction, encouragement, and challenge; essentials that will bring healing and growth to our church family here at Emmanuel…

Please make time to read this short passage: Romans 12:9-21

These 10 Exhortations (not commandments) are so pertinent at this time to our church family….and will prepare us to walk in the fullness of what God has just ahead!

In the Love of Christ,

Pastor Ken

Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain. — Philippians 2:14-16 (NIV)
