Welcome to Emmanuel United Church of Christ

Archie and I had a great time in Branson at the retired (Archie) minister’s retreat. It’s nice to begin each day with worship. It just sets a good tone for the day. Then we saw some shows and enjoyed the food. It was a good prayerful and relaxing time away. When I returned this was […]

Our Condolences

We are extremely saddened by the passing of Audrey Grosz on October 8. Audrey had been a member of Emmanuel since the day she was born and raised in the faith with many of us. We pray for her family, especially Tom, Travis, Maegan, and her mother, Gladys Peters, and ask God’s peace to help […]

Thank You!

We received a letter from Re-Creation thanking us for our hospitality and the opportunity to share their “Sing a Song of Praise” program with our communities.

Picture Perfect!

Our church was the host for another great concert by Re- Creation on September 15. It was a very inspirational evening and enjoyed by everyone who attended. Our Chancel Choir again joined in singing God’s praises with our neighboring churches at Singspiration which was held at Stairville UMC on September 22. What a glorious way […]

Sunday School News

For Thanksgiving, we will be collecting items and monetary donations for our Turkey Dinners for the McKinney Clinic. If you wish to make a donation, please see Lisa Rinehimer. Thank you for supporting the Sunday School’s missions.

Youth Group

THANKS to everyone who supported our Christmas Ornaments fundraiser at the Turkey Supper. There are still some left on the table in the narthex for those of you who missed them. We will also be making our Christmas cookies later in December to help you through the Christmas rush. No need to fuss about baking […]

New addition!

We have a new addition to our church family. Leah Grace Sevinson was born on October 7, 2013, to Amanda and Bill Sevinson. She was 19½ inches and weighed 7 lb 14 oz. Leah has an older sister, Scarlet.

Welcome to the family, Leah!

The Twilighters will meet on Tuesday, November 13, at 12:00 pm for lunch and fellowship. If you would like more information, see Lois Eigenbrod or Mary Eroh.

Thanksgiving Eve Service

Our joint service on Thanksgiving Eve will be held at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship starting at 7:00 pm. Cornerstone is the church at the corner of Church and Stairville Roads near Rice Elementary School.

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; Give thanks to him and bless his name.”

Crop Walk Report

Thanks to everyone who donated money and baked

goods or participated in the Crop Walk. We had 15

walkers who raised $915.00, a percentage of which

will be returned to restock our food bank for our own

neighbors. Your generosity helps feed and strengthen

people around the world and […]
