Where Kids Carry Out God’s Recipe
Registration Forms are on the Narthex Table
VBS is cooking at Emmanuel UCC and all “young chefs” are welcome for a tasty Bible School experience. Our Bible School program is Shake It Up Café – Where Kids Carry Out God’s Recipe. We will explore Biblical feast and celebrations to find out how we can shake up our lives when we follow God’s plan. Each day, our young chefs will discover a secret ingredient for living as a follower of God. First we’ll gather at the Café where we’ll learn songs and the day’s secret ingredient. From there, we split up to make crafts at Tangy & Tart Arts, play games at Spork Sports, eat our snacks at the Take-Out Treatery, learn science activities that reinforce our Bible Story at Foodology Factory and learn about Biblical festivals and the Bible Bite (memory verse) at Kitchen al a King. The end of the day brings us back to the Café for reflection time and music. Our Mission Project is still being finalized and we’ll get that info to you as soon as possible. We will serve up this VBS Sunday, July 10, through Thursday, July 14, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. This is a joint program of Faith UMC, Stairville UMC and Emmanuel which is open to all children of our communities. For more information or to register your child call Emmanuel UCC at 868-5675, Stairville UMC at 868-6078 or Faith UMC at 868-3247. Registration forms can also be picked up at the churches.
Shake It Up Café coloring pictures – There are coloring pictures on the table in the narthex for our kids to color so we can decorate the Narthex and get some enthusiasm going for our VBS. After you have it colored, just give it to Denise and she will hang it up for everyone to see. Let’s Get Cooking, I mean, Coloring!!
